KISS X Prabal Gurung
For Prabal Gurung’s Spring/Summer 2024 Collection, the designer was inspired by the concept of “West Meets East,” breaking down stereotypes and hierarchies, fostering a richer, more inclusive cultural conversation. The prints and colors draw inspiration from the designer’s travels in Nepal and India, derived from vintage Indian woodblock designs.
Additional prints evoke memories of the wallpaper at his grandmother’s house, featuring abstracted flowers such as poppies and lotus blossoms. Silhouettes and fabrics celebrate the timeless elegance of this heritage while embracing the practicality of the present. Metallic and natural linens are fashioned into loose, flowing silhouettes that effortlessly dances with the wind on balmy days.
“The inspiration for Prabal Gurung was based off a sultry Indian summer with metallic gold and silver on the Bare But Better collection. The details on the tips added a free spirited design which correlates to the storyline of a business woman traveling in Mumbai meeting the love her life,” says celebrity nail artist and KISS Brand Ambassador Gina Edwards (@ginaedwards_).

For PatBo’s Spring/Summer 2024 Collection, the brand celebrated its Brazilian roots, taking viewers back to the 1970’s to discover Brazil’s irreverent, flamboyant nature. The overarching theme, ‘Tropicalia,’ mixes traditional Brazilian influences with Western popular culture, highlighting the history, people, sounds, sights, and smells that make Brazil unique.
“The nail looks for PatBo were inspired by the love of Patricia’s embroidery school in Brazil. We incorporated the lace and embroidered fabric onto the nail, using the KISS Glazed Donut Nails in Frosted as the base, and adding real lace and crystals for the first look. The second look is a 2D textured pattern,” says celebrity nail artist and KISS Brand Ambassador Gina Edwards (@ginaedwards_).

LOOK 1: LACE TIP ACCENT NAIL
STEP 1: Select the correct size of the KISS Glazed Donut Nails in Frosted to fit each finger.

The Blonds Spring/Summer 2024 Collection was inspired by a cosmic journey through mythical realms, where legendary creatures don crystals, swathed in storms of organza and chiffon. This fusion of mythological legends and cosmic dreams pays homage to music Gods like Cher, Bowie, and Britney, with a contemporary twist from reggaeton sensation Bodine. The Blonds visionary concept dazzles with its intricate details, immersing the audience in a world where pop culture and celestial wonder collide!
Juan Alvear created three nail looks for The Blonds – “Embellishes Gradient,” featuring rhinestones and jewels, “Chrome Dipped,” in hot pink, rose gold, turquoise, and silver, and “Wet Glam,” a jewel and pearl embellished nail in pink and black. The looks perfectly complemented the models Mermaid and Unicorn beauty inspirations.
