For the fall season, let’s talk color and trends!  It’s now the time to add lowlights to blonde hair.  It’s time to dimensionalize and soften — and even deepen — blonde hair color. After a summer of sun and possible damage to the blonde locks, it’s time to soften the color.  Rich golden blondes; beiges, woodsy blondes are all the rage; darker or medium dark blonde shades placed throughout the hair in foils. It’s an easy and a necessary transition to become a slightly richer, deeper, warmer blonde for fall.

For the brunettes, also after a summer of sun, there’s probably a lot of fadage, and possibly unwanted brassy tones throughout the hair color. So, enrichen and deepen your brunette color, maybe even add a touch of auburn, for fall; for you ladies whose skin tone it’s appropriate for. Or, a caramel glaze over the faded summery ends of brunette hair is a great choice for just about every brunette:  a richer, deeper brunette will be lovely this fall. The ‘glazing’ I refer to is a simple way to overlay a richer, deeper brunette color for fall.  Additionally, we still will see the warmer, more golden brunette — caramels, honeys, beiges – these shades are beautiful if you’d still like to maintain some of the summer warmth.

And, speaking of glazing, it’s the thing to do for you redheads out there. Both the natural redheads and color treated redheads surely look a bit faded, after the summer sun and fun; therefore, a glaze with a red demi color to add shine, richness, and a more vibrant red is perfect. If done properly, the glaze can help make the hair look and feel better. Adding more red to the faded midlengths and ends of red hair with the glazing will invigorate it!  Rich crimson reds will be all the rage. If you are already red, or wish to be red, go for a true wine (crimson) red.  And for the copper reds:  go for a very opulent copper, almost like cayenne pepper!
