Sampling new fragrances is one part of my job that I truly enjoy, and I recently discovered a few that I absolutely love. A trio of fragrances that embrace inclusivity across genders and encapsulate the vibrant spirit of youth while honoring individuality, GUESS Originals is a new collection comprised of three unique fragrance profiles—Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3—each meticulously formulated to connect with a diverse and contemporary audience.
As a beauty editor, I’ve come to appreciate that fragrance is undeniably one of the most subjective and personal aspects of our daily beauty rituals. What smells heavenly to one person might be overwhelming to another. Our olfactory senses are intimately linked to our emotions and memories, making the choice of fragrance a deeply individual experience. Whether it’s the floral notes that transport you to a garden in full bloom or the woody undertones that evoke memories of a cozy winter cabin, fragrance has the power to evoke a wide range of emotions and sentiments. While I do think all three of the Guess Originals scents smell pretty fantastic, I would say my favorite is type 2. Depending on the types of fragrance notes you are drawn to, your fave may be different. Here is a rundown of all three fragrance profiles.
Type 1: Bergamot & Vetiver ($85)
Fragrance Notes: Top: Bergamot, Basil, Mandarin – Mid: Cardamom, Wild Lily, Orris – Base: Vetiver, Patchouli, Skin Musk
