From brows, to lips, to concealers, and –hands down– the best bronzing palette ever created, JOAH’s affordable (and equally fabulous) products have been a staple in my beauty routine ever since. I’m not kidding about the bronzer; I literally have three Chasing the Sun Palettes in my possession at all times: one in my car, one at work, and one on my vanity. Excessive? I caught up with JOAH’s Brand Director Hae Jin Chang, who opened about the relaunch celebration, her love for K Beauty, and the go-to products she uses to achieve a gorgeous lit-from-within glow.
Can you share some details about the Crystal Glow Collection relaunch celebration?
It was a chance for the editors and influencers to get to know me and the brand- our philosophy, tie with Korean heritage and what makes our products different. We were also super excited to have Sara Waisglass join us to celebrate the relaunch of our Crystal Glow collection. I really loved the energy and engagement throughout the night.
Tell me about your love for K Beauty.
I’m a minimalist when it comes to makeup and obsessed with taking care of my skin. I love Korean beauty because it’s all about caring for your skin first. It’s not about quick, immediate solutions but it’s a process and investing in yourself. Having good skin requires dedicating your time and effort.
Another aspect I admire about K-beauty is the focus on using natural and effective ingredients. Finally, Korean beauty is innovative in all aspects- ingredient, texture, formula, packaging- and so fast paced there is always something new to try!
Can you share your event glam details?
Skincare: Crystal Glow Tinted Luminizer Stick as my base and Peptide Infused Foundation. Right before the event, I sprayed the Refreshing Luminizer Skin Mist to make my skin glow before greeting the guests!

How excited are you about the relaunch of the Crystal Glow Collection?
VERY excited! These products are one of my personal favorites from the brand. I love how the products are infused with an efficacious amount of skincare ingredients so the products are actually nourishing your skin while you’re wearing makeup and gives you that glowy, dewy finish.
I’m a minimalist when it comes to makeup and always go for the no makeup, makeup look. On days when I’m lazy to put on makeup, I just apply sunscreen and the tinted luminizer stick. Applying this alone already makes my skin look healthy. My skin is very dry so it’s hydrating, smooths my skin and makes my skin GLOW. These products are also very lightweight. Oh, and I love the new packaging and iridescent purple!

Tinted Luminizer Stick: I use a darker shade to use as a contour.
