Chaser is one of our can’t-live-without fashion brands. Known and loved for their laid-back, yet edgy rock ‘n’ roll tees, yummy sweats and trendy fashion pieces, this California line always nails what “it” girls want to wear. It is no surprise that head designer Danielle Farrell is a certified cool girl who has genuine Cali roots and an Instagram feed we’re obsessed with. She sat down with us to dish on her work, her inspo and some of her favorite things for the upcoming holiday season. Scroll on and take notes!

Talk to us about the Chaser brand and its philosophy…

Chaser Brand embodies timeless, elevated essentials infused with a rock and roll edge. We have earned recognition for our luxuriously soft fabrics that evoke a classic vintage charm.

What was your inspiration for the 2024 Fall and Winter Collections?

Both collections speak to a tight-knit group of dreamers and rebels and collective thinkers and feature boho/rock ‘n’ roll inspired elevated essentials that go from day to night.

For the Fall 2024 collection, I was inspired by the 1970’s punk rock movement and our featured muse Grace McKagan, daughter of Duff McKagan, the legendary bass player of Guns N’ Roses. We shot her at the iconic Troubadour in West Hollywood.  The palette was graphic black and white with pops of hot pink and metallic.

Holiday 2024 has a different vibe. I was obsessed with a more romantic bohemian style that was inspired by 1960’s rock ‘n’ roll legends like Joni Mitchell and Jim Morrison who resided in Laurel Canyon. The palette is earthier and features elevated textures.

The Holidays are approaching! What are your three favorite pieces from the collection?

My first favorite is the lurex rib knit Veda Maxi Dress $128 because it is effortlessly chic and comfortable and will no doubt turn heads at any holiday party.  I will be living in the Rhinestone Stars Casbah Pullover $79 and matching Rhinestone Stars Jogger $88. Both pieces are super soft and cozy and feature subtle sparkly black rhinestone stars that make them the best gifts for the holiday season. The Grateful Dead Embroidered Flannel Shirt is also a fave because it feels really special and authentically vintage with the chainstitch embroidery details.

Describe your personal style. Who are your favorite fashion icons? Designers? What are the pieces you are buying right and wearing right now?

I was born and raised in San Francisco so my style has always been eclectic, bohemian, and rock ‘n’ roll influenced.  I have so many fashion icons, but a few favorites are Stevie Nicks, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, Talitha Getty, Margherita Missoni, Betsey Johnson and Gwen Stefani. Some of my favorite designers are Saint Laurent, Prada, Miu Miu, Celine, Gucci, Alessandra Rich, Isabel Marant and Chloe.. Currently, I am buying easier pieces that feel edgy, cool, and rock ‘n’ roll influenced. I have been loving corsets, vintage band tees, and oversized vintage jeans paired with my favorite combat boots and a leather jacket.
