With over 19 million followers, Mirta Miller is a viral beauty content creator known as @Mimiermakeup on TikTok. Miller’s social media popularity took off in 2020 as she quickly rose became one of the top creators on BeautyTok. She has partnered with brands such as L’Oreal, Nivea, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Freck Beauty, Sheglam, Wet n’ Wild, Beauty Blender, and Fashion Nova to name a few.
We caught up with Miller to learn all about her BeautyTok success and how just going with the flow garnered her millions of fans and followers.

Can you tell us a little about how you achieved your meteoric success as a content creator?
Being a successful content creator was never something I planned, and I never imagined this could be my career. I have always dreamt of being confident enough to film videos, because I always had a passion for makeup and beauty, but I have always been hesitant about it, and a little bit shy in front of the camera. At approximately 21, I decided life is too short and I am going to film videos, no matter who watches them or what they think of me. I started filming for fun and as a hobby after work and college lectures. After some time my content started picking up, and people started to notice me which inspired me to film more. After a couple of months, the views really took off, and I started filming every day, it only took a couple of brand deals for me to quit my corporate job and decide to risk it all, and devote myself to my dream.
Did you always plan to be in the beauty industry?
I really haven’t had a plan to be in the beauty industry, because I didn’t really have a goal or plan to be in any industry to be exact. Beauty was always my passion and I have been doing my make-up since I was five years old. It’s a way for me to express myself and I always enjoyed beauty-related content . I think it really came naturally to me and I didn’t really think “I’m gonna go join the beauty industry and I’m going to be a makeup content creator,” I just went with the flow and with what felt good for me, beauty and hair was always a field I was really comfortable in.
What are 3 beauty trends are you loving right now and why do you love it?
I really like strawberry makeup, I love all the clean natural makeup looks because it shows how much makeup is here to accentuate the natural beauty of the face. I also really like that bold lipsticks are making a comeback. But my favorite beauty trend in the last couple of years has got to be freckles. I am obsessed with them, and I cannot live leave the house without them on my face.

I also love that skincare has become a must, because I don’t think we thought about it before as much and our skin is really important so I’m really happy it’s really trendy to take care of your skin on your face.
Any predictions what will be hot this upcoming holiday season?
In the holiday season, I think we can expect a little bit heavier makeup. I do still expect a lot of creative makeup trends like we had last year, for example cold girl makeup, etc..
In general, I think we won’t really move from the less is more vibe that has been going on in the beauty community lately, but I am hoping eyeshadow and more dramatic makeup. Looks make a subtle comeback.

Can you share one holy grail beauty product and why you love it?
I think my absolute holy grail is the SheGlam All in One Volume & Length Mascara ($8.49). I absolutely love this mascara, and nothing comes close to it. I have been searching, long and hard for a mascara that would make my lashes look the way I imagined in my head, and this one is absolutely my number one without any competition. I have really small lashes and this mascara makes me look like I have falsies on. It’s perfect. Makes your lashes longer without clumps and separates them just the way I like, on top of that it’s also affordable so if you haven’t yet, make sure you give it a try!
